Program Overview

The MECA Program was created to support businesses that sell, service, and support and/or build solutions on MySQL Enterprise, or provide solutions based on MySQL database technologies. Visit the MySQL Partner Portal at http://partner-portal.mysql.com/ to stay up-to-date.

Joining the MECA Program will enable you to:

Actualize your full business potential by leveraging your relationship with MySQL, and others in the MySQL ecosystem.

There are two subscription levels in the MECA Program:

MySQL Enterprise Ready Partner – the entry level subscription (No Charge)
MySQL Enterprise Gold Partner – the highest subscription level ($2,999)

The single license for MySQL Enterprise will be for development / non-production use, only. For a demo of the MySQL Enterprise Monitoring and Advisory tools please login to the partner portal (once you have a partner account) and the demo information is posted in the resources section.


Requirements

All members of the MECA Program must agree to comply with the MySQL Enterprise Partner Agreement. Additionally, several of the Partner Tracks (e.g. Consulting Services Provider, Authorized Training Provider, Reseller, Authorized Hosting Provider) have additional requirements for membership. These requirements can be found in the Appendixes of the MECA Program Guide.

To enroll in the MECA Program, visit http://partner-portal.mysql.com/, where you can register for the program, create a company profile for the MySQL Solutions Directory, subscribe for MECA Program Modules, and much more.


MECA Program Modules

MySQL recognizes that no two companies are alike. Your business needs will vary depending on where it is in its business cycle. The MECA Program delivers modularized tools and resources to help your business succeed, regardless of its size and focus – this means you need only choose those modules that align with your current business strategy. And as your business evolves, you can opt-in (or opt-out of) modules as needed via the MySQL Partner Portal – you’ll never be locked into or limited by partner program features you don’t need. Today, members of the MECA Program can elect to subscribe to:

Customer Referral Module – MySQL recognizes that you play an integral role in driving adoption of MySQL Enterprise, and rewards you for your contributions to its continued success. Today, MySQL has two customer referral programs:

MySQL Affiliate Program – The MySQL Affiliate Program pays you to drive prospective customers to MySQL’s online store. Affiliates promote MySQL Enterprise with banners, text links, etc. In return, you receive commissions for driving new customers to MySQL. Members can earn $10-$16 for each new order, as well as a percentage of total monthly revenue generated by the member. Joining the MySQL Affiliate Program is free to registered MECA Program members. When a partner opts-in for the program, they will be sent a unique URL that they can embed in banners, text links, etc. For each transaction, you will be compensated in accordance with the then-current Payout Schedule.



MySQL Lead Referral Program – The MySQL Lead Referral Program rewards partners for referring direct enterprise sales or OEM sales opportunities to MySQL. Partners complete and submit detailed information about a potential direct enterprise sales or OEM opportunity via a form on the MySQL Partner Portal. Leads submitted will be reviewed and accepted by MySQL at its own discretion, and are good for 90 days. Should MySQL enter into a licensing and support agreement with the referred customer, it will pay the referring partner five percent (5%) of accepted bookings to MySQL, for that specific opportunity. In the event that the same lead is submitted by multiple partners, MySQL will determine which partner is eligible for a referral fee. MySQL will only pay referral fees on leads closed directly by MySQL. MySQL Resellers may participate in the Lead Referral Program if and only if they are not authorized to resell the product or service sought by the referred customer.

MySQL Reseller Module - The MySQL Reseller Module allows partners to market and sell MySQL Enterprise subscriptions, MySQL Cluster, MySQL Professional Services, and/or MySQL Training. In North America and EMEA, MySQL employs a two-tiered distribution model in which resellers source their product from a MySQL distributor.

Some Reseller Partners also provide Professional Services. If you are such a partner, we encourage you to sign up as an SI Partner, and also select the Reseller Module, and you will be listed under both the Reseller and SI partner categories.If your company is already a member of MECA please login to your profile at http://partnerportal.mysql.com/ to enroll in the program modules.
