  • Wholesale and export dealer

Your duties:
Wholesale and export dealers buy in merchandise and sell it on to trading partners. They offer customers extensive advice on the features of the merchandise in question and organise timely delivery to the right destination. In their role as buyers, they investigate sources of supply and merchandise requirements. Once the merchandise has arrived, they check invoices and delivery documentation, organise proper storage and plan onward delivery. Dealers also monitor the flow of merchandise and stock inventories, pick merchandise and prepare it for shipment. They calculate prices, process sales orders and raise merchandise resale invoices. Their duties also include executing cost account and payment transactions, processing complaints and organising marketing measures.

Our requirements:
In order to be accepted on this training course, you will require at least A levels or an equivalent qualification. You will display a real interest in commercial operations and activities in general and in IT in particular, and will ideally be able to provide evidence of such a focus in your schooling to date. You will also be a good communicator and a team player. Finally, you will already have a knowledge of English, and ideally of a Romance language, together with computing skills.

  • IT specialist, applications development

Your duties:
In applications engineering, IT specialists analyse procedures and processes at customer premises and/or internally within the company. In this context, they develop and program bespoke software. They test and adapt applications and develop user-friendly operating environments. They also remedy defects and advise and train users. IT specialists implement software engineering methods and modern software within projects, using the whole breadth of current IT and telecommunications technologies, including multimedia applications. It takes three years to complete the course, with courses being held at our Group headquarters in Stuttgart; it is based on Lotus Notes/Domino.

Our requirements:
In order to be accepted on this demanding training course, you will require at least A levels or an equivalent qualification. Your grades in Maths, Physics and English must have been above average. You will display a real interest in modern IT, and ideally will already have some practical programming experience. Finally, you will display an ability to think logically and analytically and to organise and plan your work.
